How To Make A Reservation

1. Contact Us to indicate your exact dates, the number of people in your party, and which rental villa you are interested in.
2. Once we have confirmed that the villa/property of your choice is available, we will send you a formal quote articulating the costs, dates, and options for your stay.  Once we receive your agreement and confirmation of the quote, we will then send you electronically, your personalized contract with logistics and financial details, terms and condition of the rental.  To signify your concurrence, we ask that you initial, sign and date the agreement and fax it back to us.
3. Upon receipt and agreement with the contract, we ask that you confirm your reservation by making payment of your RESERVATION CONFIRMATION DEPOSIT as indicated on your personalized contract.
4. Upon check-in, this RESERVATION CONFIRMATION DEPOSIT becomes your refundable SECURITY DEPOSIT. The full rental charges are due upon check-in. The refundable SECURITY DEPOSIT will be used in the case of damage to the villa, the furniture or appliances in the villa, loss of a key or to pay your phone bill. If all is in order upon check-out, the deposit will be refunded instantly upon checkout.
5. The rental fees include all utilities (specifically, electricity, water, cooking gas, garbage collection, air-conditioning), building maintenance, cleaning for your arrival and after your departure, bedding & towels. We provide complimentary assorted soft drinks, bottled water, and starter diesel fuel for the standby electric generator. The guest can opt for the fuel purchase option or decide to buy fuel needed beyond the initial starter diesel fuel provided by MakeItNigeria.
6. Forms of Payment – We accept payment in U.S. Dollars, British Pounds, Euro, and various credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Diners Club, etc.  We use PayPal.com for our credit card processing - With Paypal, you can pay us with peace of mind as your financial details are never divulged to MakeItNigeria. 

Cancellations

As is our policy, your deposit, or payment, is non-refundable unless we are able to re-rent the apartment for your dates. If we are unable to re-rent the apartment for the said dates, we reserve the right to keep 100% of your payment with the understanding that if we succeed in re-renting the apartment for said dates, we will refund accordingly. When we reserve the villa for you, we turn down subsequent reservation requests to guarantee your reservation. Therefore, we will not be held responsible for cancellations for ANY REASON.

Cancellation Insurance is the renter's personal responsibility.   Here are some websites that might be helpful to you:

Other Terms of Importance

1. Rental fees shall include all utilities (specifically, electricity, water, garbage collection), building maintenance, cleaning for your arrival and after your departure, bedding & towels, and all relevant taxes. Upon arrival, the Owner shall provide a complimentary starter fuel for the Emergency Generator.  Any fuel beyond this quantity shall be the responsibility of the Client.  An optional diesel fuel purchase option for the Emergency Generator is also available upon customer request.  For most purposes, this quantity should be adequate for the duration of the stay.
2. Client shall send a refundable RESERVATION CONFIRMATION DEPOSIT as indicated in this contract upon execution of this agreement. Depending on the Client’s preference, the RESERVATION CONFIRMATION DEPOSIT may be paid by cash in various currencies (in Naira, Dollars, British Pounds, or Euros), check (in USD, British Pounds or Euros), money order, bank transfer or credit card through PayPal.com. The balance shall be due on or before 60 days prior to arrival.  Please note that your reservation is never confirmed until your RESERVATION CONFIRMATION DEPOSIT has been paid, received and acknowledged by the Owner.
3. In the event of an early departure, the agreed rental amount remains unchanged. The owner will make no refunds of rental payments after occupancy.  Once your reservation is confirmed, the Owner guarantees your availability and as such, payments such as RESERVATION CONFIRMATION DEPOSIT and/or any rental fees are non-refundable unless we are able to re-rent the apartment for your dates.  If we are unable to re-rent the apartment for the said dates, we reserve the right to keep 100% of your payment with the understanding that if we succeed in re-renting the apartment for said dates, we will refund accordingly.
4. Upon check-in, the Client’s RESERVATION CONFIRMATION DEPOSIT automatically becomes the SECURITY DEPOSIT which shall be inclusive of the final rental payment PAYABLE UPON CHECK-IN in Nigeria or paid prior to occupancy. It will be used to offset incidental costs in the case of damage to the apartment, vehicle, the furniture in the apartment, loss of a key or to pay your phone bill. A US $50 cleaning charge will be deducted if the apartment is not in a normal state of cleanliness upon your departure. If all is in order upon check-out and return of keys, the SECURITY DEPOSIT will be returned upon checkout, otherwise we will deduct accordingly. If loss or damage exceeds the security deposit, Client agrees to pay the excess costs in full. Client shall only be liable for loss or damage caused by Client or guests of Client. 
5. The rental villa will generally be available for let-in after 9:00 a.m., unless other guests are departing on the day of your arrival. In that case, let-in will be after 3:00 p.m. Let-out will be no later than 12:00 PM, except by special arrangement and as circumstances allow.
6. Client agrees to commit no act that could disturb the tranquility of the other residents of the building or its environs where the rental occurs. Any disorderly or unruly behavior is the sole responsibility of the Client; the Owner relinquishes complete and absolute responsibility if a third party is involved.
7. Client must comply with building regulations.
8. The Owner cannot, under any circumstance, be held responsible, by you and your party, for any and all personal injuries, damage to apartment during rental, or loss/damage/theft to Client’s personal property.
9. The Client is responsible for any defacement to the facilities during his/her stay. The Client shall exercise reasonable caution to prevent theft, including locking all doors and windows during his/her absence from the apartment. In the event of a theft caused by Client’s lack of reasonable caution, the Client agrees to be responsible for Owner's items and furnishings lost in that theft.
10. The owner has the right to evict, without any prior warning, all Clients who do not adhere to the above stated terms in this agreement.
11. The vehicle shall be driven during the period of the hire only by the driver assigned to the hirer by MakeItNigeria
12. The Owner shall supply the vehicle in a safe and roadworthy condition.
13. The Owner shall be responsible for all ordinary and extraordinary costs of running the vehicle during the term of the hire except to the extent that by the terms of this agreement those costs are payable by the hirer.
14. At quoted car hire rates, the cost of petrol and other fuel, used during the term of the hire is the responsibility of the hirer.  Other fluids such as engine oil, brake oil, etc. shall be the sole responsibility of the Owner.  Upon completion of service, the level of petrol in the vehicle shall be approximately the same as when the rental started.  Throughout the rental period, the petrol guage of the vehicle MUST NEVER fall below the range of a quarter tank to avoid costly damages to the vehicle.
15. The hirer shall not -
    1. Sublet or hire the vehicle to any other person;
    2. Employ the services of any Chauffeur from MakeItNigeria outside the terms of this contract without explicit notification and approval from the Management of MakeItNigeria.com;
    3. Permit the vehicle to be operated outside his authority;
    4. Operate the vehicle or permit it to be operated in circumstances that constitute an offence by the driver which relates to driving or attempting to drive with excess breath or blood alcohol or under the influence of drink or drug
    5. Operate the vehicle or permit it to be operated in any race, speed test, rally, or contest.
    6. Operate the vehicle or permit it to be operated to propel or tow any other vehicle.
16. Operate the vehicle or permit it to be operated for the transport of more than the number of passengers or more than the weight of goods specified in the certificate of loading for that vehicle;  The car hire service is a PASSENGER VEHICLE and as such is not meant for transporting heavy goods/materials.
17. The car hire service will be available for the guest's use during reasonable hours of each day.
18. MakeItNigeria prides itself in making all feasible attempts to assure the safety and comfort of our customers. We will make every attempt to assure the safety, comfort and confidentiality for duration of your stay and/or rental.
19. The rates quoted assumes the car will be used primarily in the Lagos Metropolis.   The guest agrees to give MakeItNigeria and/or its agents advance notice of any out-of-state use of our car hire services.  Use outside the Lagos Metropolis will incur extra charges (Out-of-Town Surcharge).
20. For the safety of our customers, our drivers and vehicles, we ask that use of the vehicle be concluded at a reasonable time in the evening, specifically at 8:30 PM.  To help mitigate associated risks and incremental costs of night crawling, MakeItNigeria charges customers using the Chauffeur-Driven Car Hire service beyond 8:30PM an additional NIGHT CRAWLER SURCHARGE per hour. Therefore, the standard rental fees charged for the car and chauffeur ends at 8:30PM daily.  Each hour the guest uses the vehicle beyond 8:30PM will attract an incremental NIGHT CRAWLER SURCHARGE (See our price list for the fee charged).
21. The owner shall have the right to terminate the hiring and take immediate possession of the vehicle if the hirer fails to comply with any of the terms of this agreement, or if the vehicle is damaged. The termination of the hiring under the authority of this clause shall be without prejudice to the other rights of the owner and the rights of the hirer under this agreement or otherwise.
22. A COPY OF THIS AGREEMENT MUST BE KEPT IN THE VEHICLE DURING THE TERM OF THE HIRE AND PRODUCED ON DEMAND BY ANY POLICE OFFICER, TRAFFIC OFFICER OR OTHER AUTHORISED EMPLOYEE OF THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT.
23. NO CONTRACT SHALL EXIST UNTIL THE DEPOSIT, OTHER AGREED UPON PAYMENTS AND THE SIGNED RENTAL AGREEMENT ARE RECEIVED BY THE OWNER FROM THE CLIENT.

• Check in – 3:00 p.m.
• Check out - 12:00 p.m.

• This check-in / check out times are flexible if there is no immediate booking before or after yours.
• Please supply us with your exact arrival information as soon as possible. We need this information in order to arrange for you to be met at the villa when you arrive.

Using the Telephone

The telephone in the villa makes local calls (at a cost to you) and receives calls (FREE) from anywhere. A recharge phone card can be purchased at most sales outlets.
