Doctor's orders - If you suffer from any medical conditions, or are on long term medication, talk to your doctor about your travel plans and discuss whether you need to take any special precautions when flying.
Check if you need anti-malarial advice and remember, a full course of immunization takes at least four weeks to complete.
Carry any regular medication in your hand luggage and ensure you have an adequate supply for the duration of your trip.
If you have any concerns about your health when traveling, for example traveler's thrombosis (DVT), please consult your doctor.
Take it easy Rest, allow lots of time, and there will be no need to rush. Avoid heavy meals. Dress in loose, comfortable clothing and let a trolley take the weight of your luggage.
Be a mover - Try not to sit still for too long. When convenient, get out of your seat and move around the cabin. Stand up and stretch your arms and legs every couple of hours and carry out basic exercise.
Go for the Light Bite - Eat a light meal and drink water, little and often is best. Go easy on alcohol, coffee and tea!
Spoil Yourself - Indulge in some moisturizer to keep your skin feeling fresh.
Sleep It Off - Help your body cope better when traveling to new time zones by taking every opportunity to sleep en-route, every little nap will help. Don't forget to remove contact lenses before you sleep.
Settling In - When you get to your destination, take a gentle stroll to help stimulate the circulation, then if you can, put your feet up and relax.
