Car Hire Service - SurchargesCar Hire Service (Out of Town Surcharge - Daily) Out of Town Surcharge is a daily charge that the customer must pay for each day the rental vehicle is operated outside the rental city. For each day the vehicle is operated away from its base city, MakeItNigeria pays its chauffeurs a premium for going out of town. Also, risks and costs of recovery in case of malfunction or distress call increases significantly when the vehicle is out of immediate reach of MakeItNigeria support personnel. Therefore, we do charge the Out-Of-Town Surcharge to help mitigate such risks and offset the incremental costs.
Car Hire Service (Night Crawler Surcharge - Hourly) At MakeItNigeria, we take the safety and security of our guests very seriously. Night-Crawling, defined as driving the streets at night is generally not recommended in Nigeria due to safety and security concerns of our guests, the chauffeurs and vehicles. Secondly, it is very important that we provide adequate resting time for the chauffeurs between closing time for the current day and starting time for the following day. MakeItNigeria also pays its chauffeurs a premium for each hour they operate beyond 8:30pm. Vehicles can always be replaced in cases of theft and armed banditry, however, the lives of our guests and chauffeurs are priceless and not replaceable. Therefore, to help mitigate the associated risks and incremental costs, MakeItNigeria charges customers using the service beyond 8:30PM an additional NIGHT CRAWLER SURCHARGE per hour. Therefore, the standard rental fees charged for the car and chauffeur ends at 8:30PM daily. Each hour the guest uses the vehicle beyond 8:30PM will attract an incremental NIGHT CRAWLER SURCHARGE (See our price list for the fee charged). |
